Green path
social Design, intervention
Green Path was a social project I made in Rotterdam with Jasmijn Jansen.
Through an intervention we wanted to show the consequences of heavy rainfalls on Rotterdam which can be dangerous in the future.
The main building material used in Rotterdam is concrete, which makes it difficult for water to be absorbed into the ground.
We’ve tried to find a solution to help solving this problem.
Green roofs and flood controlling water plazas are some of the measures helping Rotterdam to stay ahead of the game but not enough. When space is limited, the focus is on alternative harvesting rainwater. Vertical green wall are our solution.
